Geraldine Ramírez Vallejo
(Bogotá, Colombia. 1991)
lives and works in Bogotá
Artist, illustrator and architect with MA studies in artistic mediation. She has dedicated several years to map affections through drawing, painting and visual poetry. She constantly tries to show in her work how we can shape affective memoirs inspired by our experiences, by the emotions that break through us, by the shelters we dwell and by the territories that inhabit us. .
Since 2017 she has illustrated books for different publishers including Cardumen Libros, Penguin Random House, Sincronía Casa Editorial and Lazo Libros. In 2024 she received Lápiz de Acero’s award for the project with greatest social impact, with Chocó: selva, lluvia, río y mar, published by Lazo Libros.
The political decision to live and to exist consciously “inhabiting-with”, crosses not only each of her pieces, but also lo que habitamos (what we inhabit). A platform of collective and affective experiences, to weave relations and sentipensares trough art and poetry.
She’s currently writing and illustrating her first picture book.

Vive y trabaja en Bogotá
Artista, ilustradora y arquitecta colombiana con estudios de posgrado en mediación artística (UB-Universitat de Barcelona). Ha dedicado varios años a cartografiar afectos a través del dibujo y de la poesía visual, de la ilustración y la pintura. Construir memorias afectivas de las experiencias, de las emociones que nos atraviesan, de las casas que habitamos y de los territorios que nos habitan, es algo que intenta plasmar constantemente en su trabajo.
Desde 2017 ha ilustrado libros para diferentes editoriales incluyendo Cardumen Libros, Penguin Random House, Sincronía Casa Editorial y Lazo libros. En 2024 recibió, junto al equipo de Lazo Libros, el premio Lápiz de acero, por el proyecto con mayor impacto social, con el libro Chocó: selva, lluvia, río y mar.
Ha trabajado con clientes como ONU Mujeres, Marca Comunidad, Idartes, Probogotá, Penguin Random House, entre otros.
La decisión política de vivir y existir conscientemente "habitando-con", atraviesa no sólo cada una de mis obras, sino mi más reciente proyecto “Lo que habitamos”: Una plataforma de experiencias colectivas y afectivas, para tejer vínculos y sentipensares a través del arte, la poesía y los afectos.
Actualmente se encuentra escribiendo e ilustrando su primer libro álbum.
